About Rox

Rox was born and raised in the English countryside of Hampshire, with her parents, three brothers and as many pets that could cram into a family portrait. She completed studies in art, business and a BA (Hons) degree in Design Management at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design.

At the age of twenty one Rox moved to London where she thrived for eight years in the creative industry before transitioning to New York City to build and manage creative businesses. After eight years in New York, in 2002, she followed her heart to Melbourne to start a little family while consulting for creative businesses, writing and illustrating her first book and bringing her unique art into the world.

Rox likes to dream, ponder and draw things that spark conversations around creativity, business and everyday life. You can find her art in books, schools, businesses, homes on billboards and even in a fire station!

Rox has a wild imagination and loves creating picture books that delight children. She is a member of the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) and features on the Style File list of illustrators. She’s also a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA). Rox attends KidLitVic conferences, writers festivals, events and author-illustrator catch-ups over coffee.
