Prints - Bushfire Air Rescue

$65.00

Air Rescue was inspired by an Australian Pelican that I was fascinated by while visiting the Sydney zoo. Its beak was astonishingly big and I pondered ‘hmmm… you could fit a few Koala’s in that thing!’. It’s filled with water to keep them cool following exposure to the heat of the fires. It was during the Australian bushfires in 2019, so this was top of mind. This was one of a collection of originals and prints that were donated to raise money for the Bushfire Appeal.

The Elwood Village retailers and community raised $47,200 for the Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal to help those affected by the Australian bushfires.
